I recently went on a tour around Tulum. There are lots of wonderful things to do in Tulum When I was first invited to go I was not really sure what to expect. I have friends that live in the jungle and it is beautiful but I did not really have an understanding of what was really going on in that deep canopy. Well, me tell you- I was amazed.
The day started with a hotel pick up which was perfect. Once we met up with all the guests for the day we met the tour guides and were quickly off to do some 4x4ing. Now I had done 4×4 in the past but never like this. It was amazing. We traveled all over the jungle and along the way learned bits of history and legend. We saw some beautiful cenotes and dry caves and learned a few trees to try to stay away from.
The day went on with a zip line and then swimming in a cenote. I have been in many cenotes before but nothing that even resemble this. We swam deep inside the cave and saw some beautiful formations. I cannot wait to learn how to cave dive and explore even more.
The day finished with a fantastic meal prepared over a large open fire. It was a great day. I will defiantly go on Yaaj-Ximbal again.
